Fakt ist: Wenn man sich fuer eine PS3 interressiert,sollte man schauen das man noch eine 60GB-Version abbekommt! Bei dieser Version ist noch eine Abwårtskompabilitåt zur PS2 gewåhrleistet,obwohl Sony schon angekuendigt hat dieses fehlende Feature bei der 40GB-Version per Firmware-update zu beheben( ..die Nørgelei von den Gamern nahm wohl doch mehr als erwartet Ueberhand?! ) Desweiteren tritt ein solcher Fehler NUR bei der 40GB-Version auf,da im Laufe der "Kosteneinsparung",die der 40GB-Version wiederfahren ist auch ein kostenguenstigeres LW verbaut wurde,was jetzt nicht heissen soll,dass es bei der 60GB-Version nicht auch passieren kønnte,nur sind dort kaum Fålle bekannt! ...und schlussendlich ist es auch kein Wunder,dass solche Fehler sich in der Statistik(verkaufte Einheiten!)håufen,da diese Konsole mittlerweile schon seit Mårz 2007 verkauft wird und dementsprechend viele Einheiten im Umlauf sind,was logischerweise auch die prozentuale Ausfallrate anhebt! Nur zur Info: Ich habe hier eine PS3-60GB (Launch-Konsole) und eine X360-Elite rumstehen! Die X360 ist seit Mitte 2006 meine 4. MS-Konsole....die anderen 3 hat´s per ROD zerrissen! Mit der PS gab´s bislang nie Probs! Soviel dazu!

edit: @Daniel: Games,die einen Edgar-Wallace-Verschnitt abgeben gibt´s wie Sand am Meer! Mein momentaner Favorit ist Still Life auf der XBOX(1)...nach Screenshots und Storyline einfach mal googeln!
@Der unheimliche Mønch: Welches Board in welcher X360 verbaut ist,kannst du nur per Seriennummer herausfinden!Fakt ist aber,dass seit Ende letzten Jahres bzw. hier in Europa Anfang des Jahres,das neue Falcon-board verbaut wird welches ein kleineres NT hat(nur noch 175 Watt!),leistungsfåhigere Fans,besseres und leiseres LW und bessere Passivkuehlung! Somit sind die neueren X360 besser geschuetzt vor RODs und nicht mehr so håufig! RODs gibt es bei den Kisten aber nachwievor....siehe youtube!

nein, das sind keine Geruechte. Genau wie das alte DVD-Laufwerk der PS2, erkennt das BR-LW der PS3 nach gewisser Nutzungsdauer kaum noch Movies bzw. Tonträger. Das gilt nicht fuer Spiele, sondern Movies. Das kann Dir jeder MODDER, der Playstation Konsolen umbaut bzw. repariert bestätigen.
Hi ! So,da das Thema mir seit deinem post keine Ruhe mehr gelassen hat( ),habe ich mal in diversen einschlågigen Foren herumgesucht und bin auch fuendig geworden! Also der Fehler scheint in letzter Zeit wirklich des Øfteren aufzutauchen. ....hab´mal ein bisschen rumgegoogelt und folgende Fehlerlisten ausgegraben :

80028EA5 - Unknown?? User cannot connect to PS3 network. Sony told the user to send the machine in.
80028ea6 - Connection error , Possible Proxy error power cord. Then shut off your modem/router, for about 5 mintues, then turn the modem back up first and let it sync, then turn the router back on(if using one) and let it sycn. Reconnect your power cable and flip the back swtich up again. Then make a new network connnection.
80028F10 - Go to Display Settings then HDMI (or whatever your connection is) and choose Automactic
80028f17 - Ps2 disc Boot Error , An error occured during the start operation; Ps2 game swapped using the eject function and then play pressed quickly - Backup ps2 game inserted again

8071053D - Hard boot the PS3, turn off the PS3 to stand-by, flip off the back swtich and remove the 80710B23 - PS3 Network is Down or PS3 Network is too busy to respond
80710D23 - Turn the PS3 off for a bit (30 minutes give or take) with the power toggle (not standby mode)
80029513 - Copyright Violation when attempting to install game
Na wollen mal hoffen,dass die Kiste noch ein bisschen hålt,da gerade zum Ende diesen Jahres und Anfang des nåchsten Jahres eine Menge Highlights bzw. Games erscheinen,die nicht nur Exklusivtitel sind ,sondern auch endlich die Chip-Architektur der PS3 ausreizen soll? Zu bezweifeln sollte allerdings sein,dass Sony in der Lage ist einen ebenso guten Reparatur-Service anzubieten hat,wie MS?? Wartezeiten jenseits der 9-12 Wochen sollen keine Seltenheit sein!!
